Design icons you should know: Isis ceramics by Deborah Sears

Today, I wanted to share one of my most niche design obsessions: the ceramic works of Deborah Sears. I’ve already talked at length about my love of pottery and have even shared my favorite accessible pottery sources, but there are some design icons that live rent free in my mind. A Roman Empire of mine, perhaps? If not quite so grand, this obsession has been years and years in the making, to the point where I wasn’t even sure I was going to see any of these pieces in person, let alone own any. Yes, you can find them sometimes on eBay or Etsy, but I think I was holding out for the chance that I’d stumble across some in person in my antiquing travels- and as luck would have it, that’s exactly what happened last year. But first, let’s talk about Deborah Sears and her elusive ceramics.
